Molar Squad ("the app") is a toothbrushing and learning app for children aged 3–10. It is made by Socket Science (sole proprietorship), 5575 Ross Rd., Abbotsford, BC V4X 1Z2, Canada ("we", "us"). We are the data controller.
We built Molar Squad for families. The short version:
This policy explains how we handle information when a family uses the app. It also covers our support channel and our website. The app is meant to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian ("parent"). Grown-up areas (settings, purchases, sharing, clinic codes) are protected by a parent gate.
The app stores the following only on your device, in the app's private storage. We cannot see any of it:
This information is deleted when you use Parent Area → Privacy → Delete all data, or when you uninstall the app.
To understand how the app is used and to make it better (for example: which level is too hard, where families stop during setup, whether reminders help children brush), the app sends anonymous usage data to our own database (Google Firebase, see section 6).

What we never collect:
We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Purpose and legal basis. We use this data only to run, secure, improve and support the app.
Opt-out. Parent Area → Settings → "Share anonymous usage data". When it is off, the app sends nothing.
Subscriptions (Family Pass) and in-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play).

| Dental clinic codes | Codes are entered or scanned behind the parent gate. The camera is used only to read the QR code; no photo is taken or stored. Our server checks the code and records that it was used, with the anonymous identifier and the clinic. |
| Share cards | A parent can create an achievement image and share it with any app they choose. The image is made on the device; the child's name can be left out. We do not receive it. |

| Bug reports | A parent can send a bug report from the Parent Area. It contains the category and text the parent writes and, if the parent leaves "Include technical info" on, the app version, device model, system version, language and the last few screens used. It is stored with the anonymous identifier and used only to fix problems. Please don't write names or personal details in it. |

If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If a change is significant, we will tell parents in the app before it applies.
