These terms are an agreement between you (the parent or guardian who installs and manages the app) and Socket Science (sole proprietorship) ("we"). By using Molar Squad you accept them. If you get the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. These terms add to it. If the two conflict, the EULA wins as to Apple.
1. The app
Molar Squad helps children aged 3–10 build a toothbrushing habit. It offers a guided 2-minute brushing timer, games, stories and educational content about teeth.
The app is intended for use by children under the supervision of a parent. A parent sets the app up and manages purchases and settings in the protected Parent Area.
2. Health information — not medical advice
The health content was written and reviewed by a dentist for general education. It is not medical or
dental advice, a diagnosis or a treatment.
It does not replace regular check-ups with a dentist.
For pain, injury, bleeding, swelling or any concern about your child's teeth, contact a dentist or doctor.
Always follow the advice of your own dentist (for example on the amount of fluoride toothpaste for your
child's age).
3. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you
own or control, for your family's non-commercial use, under these terms and the store's rules.
You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app or its content, except as the
law allows.
4. Free and paid features
Part of the app is free. The Family Pass subscription unlocks all levels, stories and extras for every
child profile on the device.
Some heroes may also be unlocked by brushing, by a dental clinic code or by a one-time purchase.
Subscriptions:
Prices are shown in the app before purchase, in your currency.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm.
The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel it at least
24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before
that.
Free trials: if offered, a trial converts to a paid subscription at its end unless you cancel at least
24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
You can manage or cancel in your device's account settings:
App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Google Play: Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
Restore: Parent Area → Subscription → Restore purchases.
Dental clinics may give families free codes or Family Pass months. Codes are for one use, may expire, and cannot be exchanged for money.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't:
misuse the app, its services or clinic codes;
try to get around the parent gate or purchases;
interfere with our servers;
use the app in breach of the law.
6. Our content
All characters, art, music, narration, stories and software are owned by us or our licensors and are
protected by intellectual-property laws.
"Molar Squad" and its characters are our trademarks.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data the app handles (most of it stays on your device), the anonymous usage data and how to switch it off, and how to delete data. It is part of these terms.
8. Availability and changes
We may update the app, add or change content, or retire features.
Offline features keep working without an account.
Server features (clinic codes, anonymous analytics) may be unavailable at times.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied
warranties (for example of fitness for a particular purpose).
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, for example for death or personal
injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.
Otherwise our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time.
We may suspend access to server features if these terms are seriously breached.
Sections 2, 6, 9 and 11 survive.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Courts of British Columbia (Abbotsford) have jurisdiction, without depriving consumers of the protection of the mandatory laws and courts of their own country of residence.
EU consumers may also use the European Commission's ODR platform.
Türkiye consumers may apply to Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts.
12. Apple-specific terms
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support.
If the app fails to conform to a warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price, if any;
Apple has no other warranty obligation.
Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the app (product liability, legal compliance,
consumer protection, intellectual-property infringement).
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
You confirm that you are not in a country under a US embargo or on a US restricted-party list.
